The International Conference “Quality Journalism and a New Communication Environment” was held on October 29th and 30th, 2020 in the Microsoft Teams videoconference platform. In these two days 95 participants presented their reports in the following panels: “The Future of Quality Journalism: Cross-continental Views”, “Professional Standards – Historical and Contemporary Perspectives”, “Media Art and Art Journalism – Meaning and Uses”, “Visual and Non-verbal Communication in the Media”, “Media in a Pandemic”, “Infodemia about the Pandemic”, “Media Languages – Translation (Im)possible?”, “Media, Audience – Changed Communication”, “World, Values, Media”, “Challenges in the New Communication Environment”. Among the educational and research institutes presented in the conference are The School of Audio-visual Translation in Russia, Moscow State University Institute on International Relations, Moscow State University, Georgia Private University, and the European Journalism Training Association.
